Something to chew on for foodies

Former Portland Phoenix food writer Jessica Porter has begun her "Chew-A-Thon 2009" campaign, encouraging people to chew their food more carefully and more mindfully - and to tell her about the results!

    Jessica, Thank you for the chew-a-thon. Its a great idea. Making it into an "a-thon" really made me try chewing longer. I don't usually get to 100 but more than before. And I feel much better. I like knowing I am getting more nutrition from food. I think it saves money! I am eating less, needing less food.
