You do realise that it's not Nintendo that made this peripheral or game, don't you?  Perhaps you should research first before accusing a company of doing something.

Our hope is that Carl will be recognized as the brilliant scientist and teacher who deserves  recognition by the designation of his birthday as an official observation.

Absolutely...his birthday must be celebrated as the international day of space exploration...(or some better coinage)

not just because Carl Sagan could foresee the importance of (real) science's popularization to society's ability to make intelligent decisions....

not just because he inspired many serious scientists to undertake the same task....

not just because he was a debunker of pseudo-science

not just because he was a great pacifist or because he espoused humanistic values...

but mainly because his vision of humans in space

is yet to be realized.... and the danger that humans will destroy themselves before that vision is realized is still present.

We need a constant reminder of what wonders in the universe, the space or other planets are yet to be explored and can be explored if only we could learn to co-operate. I think no human (terrorists included) can feel hopeless if he/she is shown just what lies ahead!

We certainly need the Carl Sagan day to be celebrated internationally so that the audacity of hope is engendered in every citizen of this world!

It was stirring to see so many children attending and taking part in science activities, while showing understanding and thoughtfulness. Tomorrow's leaders! This event should be just the first of many acroos the globe.

Thanks for posting this about Dad. But I have to correct a few things...he did not do that Star Wars painting...he did a Empire Strikes Back Time magazine cover that was not actually used at the time but later appeared in an Art of Star Wars book.

Also that quote about doom is false. In fact its actually closer to a quote for me...Points on Doom were discussed with me in my initial meetings with the guys at ID for making the stop motion models used to create some of the monsters of Doom. I had been screwed a few times before on doing jobs for points so I was not open to the idea....I wish I had a time machine to go back and slap some sense into my younger self! LOL

First, thank you so much for sharing My DNA Fragrance with your readers.  We would like to add clarification regarding mtDNA testing for the celebrity hair for our Antiquity fragrance collection.

Hair does contain DNA, While the nucleus degrades as the hair shaft hardens during keratinization, cellular mitochondria and mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) remain relatively intact, making mtDNA analysis of hair

shafts possible.  The Mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) is simply a different process to extract it DNA from hair.

To read more on Mitochondrial DNA analysis - forensicscience.suite101.com/.../what_is_mitochondrial_dna

Thank you again for your interest and curiosity regarding My DNA Fragrance.
