No, Jenn Abelson, I'm not. Why do you ask?

Maybe it's just coincidence, but Abelson's query tops the list of "Reporter's Questions" on the Globe's home page on the same day that the Wrentham Outlets have a big fat ad advertising their post-Thanksgiving sale (starting at midnight!) plastered on page A7 of the paper.

Planned or not, this is tacky.

  Man, whatever happened to *reporting*? Is she too lazy to go to Wrentham at midnight, so she's just going to have the folks who do go call her later and tell her how it was? I hate these reporter's queries; some of them I understand, but the others are just plain laziness.

  Get used to it. But what I want to know is was this report planted as a part of the ad buy? I don't think it's possible to get a straight answer to this, but just the fact that the question occurs to me makes me question the Globe's reporting. And this has got to be bad for the Globe.

  Too bad she's caught up in this because she has been a breath of fresh air with her grasp of retail stories particularly as compared to Tom Palmer and others who have attempted to cover it. She always answers email so Adam ought to just ask her how it happened.
