New in the Phoenix: bigots, Brady, Jennifer Strange

Readers, I have a few options for you this week: a Q-and-A on civil-rights journalism with the legendary Gene Roberts, Marty Baron's explanation of why Tom Brady's love child topped the paper on Feb. 19, and some thoughts on why Jennifer Strange's death has gone almost unnoticed here in Boston.

No surprise that Globies would think we shouldn't make a big deal about Brady. They actually think babies are part of a person's private sex life, or at the most, a woman's Private decision. Brady is just a genetic dimple, with a few million bucks as a bonus, as if the fact that the baby will have loads of cash makes up for it. No other story is more important to us. Together with Lynn Cheney, Anna Nicole, and now Bridget, fatherhood is finally getting noticed.
