New in the Phoenix: What happened to Deval Patrick?

In which I ponder why the same man who communicated so well as a candidate has communicated so poorly as governor.

Man who held nose & voted Deval said:

That's an easy answer. He only had to REALLY campaign for (arguably) about a month and a half...three at the most. You can bulls**t anyone for that short a time, but you can't keep it up forever. Admittedly, I voted for Deval and I *knew* it was a mistake. It just seemed less of a mistake than voting for any of the other candidates. I mean, c'mon...this guy was one of the heads of Ameriquest...the slimiest of mortgage slimeballs...and voters bought line of BS that he was all grassroots, sweetness and light? I guess we truly deserve the politicians we get.
