ProJo skimps on DNC staffing

I'd previously heard that John Mulligan of the DC bureau, but not any of the ProJo's Rhode Island-based newsies, will be making the trip to Denver to report on the DNC.

Matt, whose trip comes courtesy of the RI Democratic Party, says editorial columnist Froma Harrop is also going, and he's none too happy about it:

As you know, your esteemed blogger is going to Denver as Rhode Island's official blogger for the Democratic National Convention.   In said capacity, I have been excited that I get to hang out with some of Rhode Island's most committed Democratic activists.  I also was excited to hang out with some of the most tuned in BeloJo reporters like John Mulligan, Scott MacKay, Charlie Bakst, Kathy Gregg and Steve Peoples.

However, Democratic sources tell me that the stingy BeloJo is only sending two reporters and that they are Mulligan and FROMA HARROP!

Yes, the same Obama-hatin' Harrop who has accused the Democratic nominee of being a flip-flop on important issues and having a timid, vague and illogical health care planOf course, Harrop is a not-so-subtle McCain supporter who even went so far as to write this:

THE WOMAN WHO shouted “McCain in ’08!” at the Democratic rules committee was speaking for a multitude.
