Author of Patriots' book coming to Warwick

The Patriots are off to an inauspicious start, but gridiron fans can still enjoy this appearance by a former Phoenix contributor:

Journalist and football historian Sean Glennon will sign copies of his new history of the New England Patriots at Barnes & Noble Booksellers in Warwick Saturday Sept. 27 from 10 a.m. until noon. Glennon is the author of two Patriots-related books, the latest of which is The Good, the Bad & the Ugly: Heart-Pounding, Jaw Dropping and Gut Wrenching Moments From New England Patriots History (Triumph).

The Good, the Bad & the Ugly: New England Patriots runs through 48 years of Patriots history, telling the story of the team’s evolution from NFL sad sacks to perennial contenders. In a series of self-contained, fast-paced, fun and entertaining sections, the book covers Patriots history from the team’s formation in 1960 through its heartbreaking loss to the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLII, stopping off at the greatest, worst and weirdest moments in between. From Billy Sullivan to Bob Kraft, Chuck Fairbanks to Bill Belichick, Tony Eason to Tom Brady, the book recalls all of the important people and major events of Patriots legend and lore.

For die-hard, veteran Pats fans, The Good, the Bad & the Ugly: New England Patriots provides a chance to wince and curse and smile along, recalling the best and worst moments, coaches, players and owners. For those who climbed aboard the bandwagon after 2002, the book provides an opportunity to catch up with a wild back story, and to revisit the great moments of the Belichick era.

The Good, the Bad & the Ugly: New England Patriots features a foreword written by Patriots great and Pro Football Hall of Fame member John Hannah.
