ProMo's known "unknowns" of 2009

 070216_inside_brainman

Providence Monthly is out with its annual list of "10 people you don't know now, but soon will."

As is sometimes the case, a number of these putative under-the-radar-types are already familiar to close readers of the Phoenix.

Julian Dash, renewable energy czar at the EDC, was one of our Local Heroes, back in 2005.

Mike Ritz last year made the case that John McCain was a hypocrite on torture.

In 2007, Kipp Bradford [depicted at the top of this post] was our counter-example to RI's brain drain.

Also that year, we told you how WRNI GM Joe O'Connor was putting the public back in public radio.

And yeah, it's a bit off topic, but the lovely Kyla Coburn, who got a shout-out for her work at the Avery, was on our arm for the Providence Newspaper Guild Follies back in 2003.
