RI Future Sold

We're a bit late on this. But in case you missed it, Pat Crowley, owner of the liberal blog RI Future, has sold the site. From his blog yesterday:

RIFUTURE has been sold.  After much consideration, and after receiving a substantial offer of purchase, I have decided to sell RIFUTURE. The sale creates an opportunity to pursue other state wide goals while still maintaining a voice in the progressive blogosphere. I will continue to be an active contributor to RIFUTURE, amongst other activities.

The timing is fortuitous given certain other opportunities presenting themselves.  Our State and our Country are in constant need of forward progress.  I am not satisfied with where we are as a community – and things need to change. Dramatically. Some people may be satisfied with the way things are. Some people may be satisfied with taking baby steps forward.  Others think this country has already gone too far.  You know the names on the lists of the usual suspects and you know their story.

Maybe it is time for a new story to be told.

The ownership transfer will be formally announced on Wednesday, August 26th, at the monthly "Drinking Liberally” event at the Wild Colonial on South Water Street in Providence.  Join RIFUTURE and the new owners of the blog at 8PM.
