Massachusetts emo heroes the Receiving End of Sirens today leaked the first track off their forthcoming album The Earth Sings Mi Fa Mi (Triple Crown, out in August), and announced plans for an international headlining tour that'll keep them busy through early fall -- their web site has the tour closing September 15 at Avalon with Envy on the Coast and Emanuel, although from what we've heard Avalon will be a big pile of rubble by then.
In any case, we give the thumbs up to the new song: pretty much what you'd expect from those dudes, big and anthemic and contemporary. Completists can sneak a listen to incidental song clips and trippy visuals at the Earth Sings album teaser site, which includes some making-the-album vids and suggests that the "Mi Fa Mi" part of the album title is some kind of double-entendre involving shape note singing, misery, and famine.
