Great review - loved reading it, want to see the movie, just from reading this, and considering a post zombie vampire human revolution.

I just wrote the letters BC by accident in a journal, dedicated to Johnny Depp, and now I descover his vampire character is Barnabus, Collins, BC. The political slant in this is excellent - thanks for opening my eyes a bit, and the date of the election - I didn't know that.

Some very intresting ideas and comments. I came across this page whilst looking for cheaper energy prices cheaperenergy.wordpress.com My bills haven risen by 35% this year and am now facing yet another increase by these greedy energy companies. (Thankfully I only rent so don't have to worry about a mortgage as well.) Has anyone tried this green and cheap renewable energy? If so, be intrested to know how it worked for you.

Film critic Armond White's point was that art is no place for partisanship, but instead should invite empathy and champion a humanistic perspective. This is what Stone's "Nixon" did, and it is completely predictable that "W" makes the same offer to the audience - a chance to walk in the shoes of a discraced President, and to live the events as he felt them.

Don't compare "Carol's" potential to "Proud American" if for no other reason than promotion. I'd never heard of "Proud American." Nor "Expelled" for that matter either. But I've been so unentertained by movies for so long, I never even look at the "coming soon" posters at the mall, let alone see a preview in the theatre. So, if that's how Frankowski promoted his films, it's no wonder I've never heard of them.

As for the "No Preview" comment, if you had been at the RNC, you would have seen it. But judging by the 90+% articles that hate the subject, hate the trailer, hate the fact that anyone would slam Moore, et cetera, I'm glad they chose not to preview it to an obviously unfriendly crowd (critics). They would probably spoil the movie anyway by giving away "the good parts" while complaining.

It will be interesting to see if this experiment succeeds. I hope it will, and I will be at the theatre on October 3 for the first time since Star Wars rerelease of Empire Strikes Back.
