This holiday I go back and forth on. When it's a full moon AND a weekend AND I used to live in the city it was pandamonium. Now that Mr. Dai and Baby Dai and I live in the country, we prefer the full moons during the week. It's just quieter that way. Since this holiday coincides with municipal election season, it's been busier than usual. I am teaching a class on using recycled materials to make art. My friend Marcella Stasa (marcellastasa.com) is a genius at this, although her recycled materials are all things from the forest floor.
For those who have been completely confused for the past month, Mercury stops retrograding November 1. Not a moment too soon.

meetings start late...meetings go long...other appointments are missed, misfiled, forgotten. phone calls are made and not completed. the phone is lost. wristwatch lost, programs lost, tivo reset, disconnected, time mismanaged, meetings end too soon, messages aren't delivered, messages are misheard, important documents are misspelled. 1000 times. /p>
This is my informal count of Merc. Rx as it's been unfolding around me and what people have told me. And I STILL can't find my stainless steel seiko watch I bought for $5 in St. Louis in 1999 which works great and I'm still not sure I'm happy with my citizen watch which supposedly runs on daylight which I sure as heck don't run on. Happy birthday Scorpios, including: nancy I, Pete Greelish, Deb Frost, Chuck, Ed Siegel, Melissa Houston (where is she??), Lucie Cragin and Deb Morgan. Scorpios are secretive but they always have good secrets!

And then go back to the previous entry's moon address. I am LOVING me some Saturn moons! (Sorry, this kind of faux-gangsta yapperie is very unsymboline. It's just too damn late is all). I mean, ice-spouting geysers! Surface temps of 0 degrees absolute! interacting with atmospheric temps of -200.
Earthmoon, I love ya, and ya bought me this house but I am seriously looking at the moons of Saturn and Jupiter as being worth a visit.

will take you to Iapetus, one of Saturn's moons with many more mysteries than our local Luna. Be sure to check out the equitorial ridge, the mysterious carbon? splattermarks and the 450km crater. Now THERE's a moon!

Visit sukinaturals.com. I've written about these products twice, once for a Llewellyn almanac and also for the Boston Globe. Suki makes all-natural, vegan cosmetics and a line that's really gentle on the skin as well as effective. I am hooked to the point where I tossed all the other skin-care stuff. I've always been wary of products with a lo-o-o-ong line of chemical ingredients and preservatives and what's great about Suki is that the ingredients are herbs, oils, and other natural products. The lemon cleanser is really refreshing and their skin cream and shiitake toner is a treat. This is the real deal, plus Suki is a Massachusetts company (Suki is a real person and when I've spoken to her on the phone has that enthusiasm and knowledgeability you look for in people doing a unique variety of work).
You can mailorder their line or find it at Wholefoods. And what is the astrological aspect of this particular entry? Capricorn rules the skin (also joints and knees), and though there are no planets rolling through Capricorn right now but moon in Cancer puts our mind towards home and security. Cancer is a very consistent sign and I was just reminded that I've been more faithful to Suki than most other products (okay, Chanel eye shadow since my delightfully misspent youth as a rock critic). Seriously, though, I love this stuff.

Happy Birthday to Christopher Timms, John Ingwersen, Hal Cragin, Sally Cragin, Melissa Ray, Dan Cronin, Jacquie Cronin, Nancy Ingwersen, Lucie Cragin. I think that covers the month. Libras are the BEST SIGN aren't they?? Don't they make those other signs look just SICK!!! Don't you wish YOU were a Libra??? Libras rule! Just don't stand behind them in a cafeteria line
