How Was Deval?

I thought Warner was weak -- in fact, a generally weak evening considering how many millions of households presumably had the DNC on in the background waiting for Hillary. So, what do you think: did Deval shine from among the dullards, or blend in?

I'll have to check my notes, but I'm fairly sure that speech was an amalgamation of his first SOTC address and his spiel from that "campaign re-launch" shindig at English High School last year.  Other than the recycling, though, I thought he rocked it.

I think the C-Span audience was riveted. Too bad none of the networks aired the speech. The real star of the evening (besides Hillary): Brian Schweitzer. The guy's the Democratic answer to Mike Huckabee. Watch out for him in the coming years.

I wasn't impressed. It was a standard convention speech, delivered moderately well. There was very little sense of community between him and the crowd; very little of that bond that he used so well in Boston. Of course, the crowd wasn't there to see him, which makes a difference, but he didn't capture them, either.

    Thanks,

    -V.

the phenomena will soon pass. perhaps the gov. would have made a decent federal judge...or something else. reno could have put that together. there is a direct corellation between the election of mr. patrick and the ascendancy of the junior senator from illinois, and that is real, real bad management by arrogant, incompetent white men. mrs. clinton, like kerry healy, was never in play. in what virginia wolfe broached as a post feminist era, neither should have been.

well, he obvioulsly didn't deliver for oba. nor did kerry or kennedy. 'hill' won mass, remember? all three have lazy, incompetent mass based staffers. all three view themselves as national features. and where's the "duke"? he spent the bulk of primary season trying to get axelrod to hire jack the "hack" corrigan:-)!! palezze. a paradigm shift is in order. larry rasky will do well via the biden relationship. whouley, highly inflated from jump street. the campion crowd? daley never rolled with this crowd anyway.

so should the mass folk need gigs...there's a few, way down the totem, right akey?
