That's an exact quote pulling strings because i was there and I believe he said "be your voice" which is incredibly different but as a reporter you would know that. No?

The insinuation you are making is that Felix Arroyo should not be able to talk about helping the community with licensing or else you will make it appear as though he is corrupt... nice one David.

Peabody & Judy: The reason I singled out Felix is because he's the one who said, during the forum, that one reason you should vote for him is that if you need a license in Boston you need someone to pull strings for you, and he's your guy. I was specifically commenting about that remark, which struck me as jarring. Had Connolly said something similar I certainly would have made the same point about that.

I'll post my comment about the candidates forum in the form of a question: why did you mention only Felix Arroyo's support of former state senator Dianne Wilkerson? If supporting Wilkerson is going to be a litmus test for local politicians, then your readers should know that she counted Councilor John Connolly, Councilor Steve Murphy, Ayanna Pressley, and Tomas Gonzalez among her supporters. Connolly was an especially enthusiastic supporter in 2008 (a year after Wilkerson endorsed his successful council bid) - he and his wife gave maximum $500 donations to her senate campaign.
