The metal Mecca that is Lewiston/Auburn has once again offered up a rock band for the masses. While there’s plenty of room in metal to express yourself and explore new regions of rock, Civil Disturbance opt for a more familiar path. Their songs seem torn from modern-rock radio playlists, ready for immediate consumption by their legions of fans. This army of “Civil Insurgents,” as they are known, are the same fervent group who helped vault the band to the top of the heap in last year’s WTOS Battle of the Bands. They intone in the ominous song "Comfortable Destruction," “Time is wasting as you go through the motions again.” But these hard-working guys aren't wasting anything. As award presenter Louis Philippe of Reindeer Records said, “Nick, your dream has come true.”
