Best NEW ACT in PORTLAND

 

It seems like such a simple statement, but still somehow mired in over-complications: these five guys from Portland like to make rock music. The band’s EP release from last summer, Leave Your Girl Pants At Home, is six tracks of solid proof. They like it so much, in fact, that they missed the awards show to — get this — have band practice! Duh. Frontman Kris Rodgers said later, “To be a part of the Best Music Poll is truly an honor in itself. We were informed of our win via text message from some of the bands there, even some that we’ve been up against in the past. That’s a true sign of how tight the Portland scene really is.”
