The Playwrights’ Platform is a nonprofit cooperative of Boston-area playwrights dedicated to helping one another develop new plays. Twice a month, from Oct through April, the group presents readings of new works by local playwrights that are free and open to the public. Each reading is followed by either written feedback for the playwright, or a discussion to help the writer discover the strengths and weakness of his/her current draft and to plan revisions. New members are welcome and encouraged to participate by submitting plays, acting in them, or simply by attending readings. Readings take place most Sundays at 7 pm at Lasell College in Newton.
