Courthouse dusts off Nunsense

Of course, at the end not only does Sister Mary Amnesia remember who she is but there also is a money ex machina device to solve their financial problems (and provide the first sequel opportunity).

Despite what any grumbling curmudgeons like me have had to say, Nunsense was so popular that it spun off six sequels. The good sisters went on to conduct a country music album promo tour, a Las Vegas revue, and a performance at the Hollywood Bowl (which turned out to be a bowling alley). Hey, how about Nuns On Ice? Plenty of skate-skittering and arm-spinning falls. You can send my percentage to the Rest Home for Exhausted Gag Writers, Goggin.

The two women at the dangerous center of Martin McDonagh's The Beauty Queen of Leenane could blaze up at any moment, and we know that one or both will by the end. Each is filled with so much pent-up hatred that spontaneous combustion seems a distinct possibility.
