SPRING AWAKENING | Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Duncan Sheik penned the tunes for this Tony-winning musical based on German playwright Frank Wedekind's once-shocking 1891 drama of raging teen hormones, which hits town for a month-long run. Based on Frank Wedekind's once-banned 1891 play about popping teen hormones in a repressive, rural German town, the show has won a lot of prizes, among them the 2007 Tony for Best Musical and a second Tony for Bill T. Jones's sensual, athletic choreography. Now's your chance to see whether it really rocks or is just another Rent. | Colonial Theatre, 106 Boylston St, Boston | 800.982.ARTS | Through May 24 | Curtain 7:30 pm Tues-Thurs | 8 pm Fri | 2 + 8 pm Sat | 2 + 7:30 pm Sun | $42.50-$92
