If you’re one of those people who really just orders a Bloody Mary for the olives, you might want to reconsider. Instead, try ordering the drink for the Tomolives. The little pickled green tomatoes look deceptively like green olives — especially when skewered on a toothpick and resting on the edge of that glass of Bloody goodness — but they pack a far tangier punch, thanks to ingredients including vinegar, salt, onions, and garlic. Chances are you’ll like them so much, you’ll want them for more than just a garnish; good thing, then, that you can buy a whole jar full of pickled perfection and skip the drink entirely.
An eight-ounce jar is available for $3 at Blanchards Wines and Spirits | 103 Harvard Avenue, Allston | 617.782.5588
