So how do you make this transition easy? First, go to Wild Oats and buy the brown rice sushi for lunch. Mmmmm. Day two: try out the whole grain dish offered hot at the Whole Grocer (hopefully, in February, Whole Foods will offer some good whole grain deli options). Take the family out to Saeng Chai (on Forest Avenue) or Mesa Verde (on Congress Street) on day three. Day four, try cooking some brown rice at home (boil it, and then do whatever you want — fry it up, add chocolate sauce, dump it in a soup — just get it down!) That rice should last you two to three days and there’s your first week!! No. Big. Deal. Resolution kept. Stomach happy. Rinse and repeat. And the nice thing is that you’re adding to your life on all levels — your subconscious mind loves that. And as you eat these wonderful, whole seeds of energy, they will launch you into the New Year like a zippy alfalfa sprout. Be prepared for better skin, calmer nerves, and a feeling a true satisfaction when you eat. And that’s just the beginning. Happy New Year.
