A taste of Mondial de la bière

May 30 to June 3
By TAMARA WIEDER  |  May 24, 2007
Over the past several years, the annual Mondial de la bière in downtown Montreal has established itself as one of the better beer festivals in North America. Check it out this weekend, from May 30 to June 3. (It’s only a five-and-a-half hour drive!) And besides allowing you to take advantage of a favorable exchange rate, the fest features many ales not available stateside, including fine libations from Boréale, Brasserie Grimoire, and Brasserie Trou du Diable. Admission is free, and tasting coupons are just one “loonie” each. Call 514.722.9640 or visit festivalmondialbiere.qc.ca for more information.
