There were also lemon squares, biscotti, lemon tea bread, banana bread, and pies and cakes by the slice (the customer favorite orange passion cake is like a carrot cake but with mashed bananas and orange zest). Any of these go well with the Beehive's locally roasted, organically-grown, fair-trade coffees, organic teas, or made-to-order espresso drinks.
In addition, there are soups, salads, more sandwiches, pizzas-of-the-day, stuffed-with-veggies-and-cheese potato flatbreads, egg-ham-and-cheese brioches, and chicken pot pies (with that wonderful buttery crust) to discover. The Beehive will have warm desserts, hot cider, cocoa, and soup the evening of November 20, for Bristol's Night to Shine holiday stroll (5-9 pm). And the Beehive is taking orders for Thanksgiving pies. You might consider hiding one to enjoy after the guests have gone!
