If you really dig holiday-spectacles, then for the love of God, get yourself down to the Opera House for the Boston Ballet’s nine millionth production of The Nutcracker. Tickets for the show, which runs through the end of December, range from $25 to $150. But chances are, you were already dragged there once when you were young. Heck, you probably even fell asleep. So do yourself and your wallet a favor and spring for the cheap seats.
Finally, whether you’re a friend or foe of the holidays, no Christmas season would be complete without a healthy dose of blasphemy and making fun of all things Tom Cruise. For one-stop satirical shopping, check out the Boston Center for the Arts’ hilarious A Very Merry Unauthorized Children’s Scientology Pageant. The musical biography of Scientology founder L.
