Pigeons love poker

By COSMO MACERO JR.  |  April 25, 2007

Try screwing up like that at, say, a blackjack table. Because the number of cards, in theory, is finite, making a bad play in blackjack means impacting the hand of the player next to you — very often with devastating results. Hell hath no fury like an angry loser at the $2 table if you hit on 17 and steal his king, only to go bust in the process.

I like to think poker players are a little more understanding, if only because they'd rather take your money quietly than chew you out. I know I try to be. I just can't believe that friggin' moron actually called with A-3.

Cosmo Macero Jr. is a vice-president with the public-affairs firm O'Neill and Associates.
