And with this, reader, I end my story. The past three and half years of writing about dating and relationships and Cowboy come now to a place where it feels natural to stop, breathe, take the microscope off my marriage, and return to just being citizens of Portland. Thank you for coming with me on this journey — it’s been quite a sojourn through many dates, friendships, odd happenings, and then, unexpectedly, falling in love. Life is a trip and I’m beginning to travel up a whole new tributary to my river: marriage. So, with a flourish, I offer this: “Picture yourself on a boat on a river with tangerine trees and marmalade skies...” and you’ll be fine..
