Let’s talk about sex, baby?

BUBBLE, BUBBLE, TOIL AD TROUBLE: Giulia Rozzi (left) and Margot Leitman will bring Stripped Stories, their sexcapade story hour, to town on April 9.

You don’t have to be best friends with Giulia Rozzi to find out that she hooked up in her Jersey Shore beach house with a guy who stole her fake ID. She had to put fliers up by the boardwalk requesting that he return it. And Rozzi’s actual BFF for almost a decade, Margot Leitman, told me — and a room full of strangers — that she once let a really hot doctor take dirty pictures of her in his East Village apartment, and then went back the next day to watch him destroy them. Rozzi and Leitman, both comedians and writers, have exposed their personal dramarama at Stripped Stories, their monthly sex-themed storytelling night in New York, for nearly a year. And this Wednesday, April 9, they’ll premiere a best-of version of the show at the ImprovBoston Theater.

“Sadly, I think most of us, whenever we do something that’s naughty, or have a hookup, or have a crush on somebody — as much as we want to think it’s just between us and them, it’s the most fun stuff to gossip about,” says Rozzi, giggling. “I’m married, so I’m desperate for any sort of salacious activity in my life!”

Boston’s first Stripped Stories will feature two new tales by Rozzi and Leitman, as well as sordid yarns spun by ImprovBoston writer (and Phoenix contributor) Sara Faith Alterman and comedian DJ Hazard. Jessica Delfino will conclude the performance portion of the evening with some scandalous songs. But it’s not over until the entire audience plays an interactive game of seventh-grade-basement-party-favorite Never Have I Ever. Don’t worry, nobody is there to get judgey on you for your purity-test score.

“You could have the weirdest fetish or the most embarrassing story,” says Rozzi. “Margot and I have an awesome energy, a way of making people feel comfortable. Even if you’re a virgin!”

“A lot of things are sexual that you don’t even realize,” adds Leitman. “But sex doesn’t have to be intercourse. Sex can be a make-out session that turns into something else. That’s why we don’t run out of stories. We tell stories of missed opportunities, too, things like that.”

The audience, both comedians insist, is just as forgiving as they are. Think of Stripped Stories as an opportunity for you to feel less alone about your naked misadventures, whether they involve an imaginary relationship or multiple orgasms.

Stripped Stories debuts on Wednesday, April 9, at 8 pm at the ImprovBoston Theater, 40 Prospect Street, Cambridge. Tickets are $15; $10 for students and seniors. Call 617.576.1253 or visit improvboston.com or strippedstories.com for more info.
