Weekly forecast, March 9, 2006

By SYMBOLINE DAI  |  March 8, 2006

“She’d already been hinting that during the next eclipse we slam pot lids together to scare the frog from swallowing the moon.”

— Maxine Hong Kingston, The Woman Warrior .

The first lunar eclipse of 2006 is best viewed from Europe and Africa. Here in North America, it’s in progress as the moon rises, and the days preceding this one will bring out “compulsive wackiness.” Hey, go bang those pots! And if you’re looking for the monthly forecasts, visit moonsigns.net. I don’t take as dire a view of eclipses as most of my colleagues, but Gemini, Sagittarius, Pisces, and Virgo should tread lightly and presume nothing right now.
