picnic1) PIC A SPOT TO NIC
Benches at the Boston Common are usually covered in bird shit, and the expanse of grass occasionally smells, well, let’s just say “un-grassy,” but that’s not to say one shouldn’t plan an idyllic picnic in the park. Tote along a cozy blanket and a bag of your favorite goodies — popsicles, chewing gum, Johnny Walker. Stare at the leafy greens. Engage in meaningful conversation. Lie down and let tiny insects sting your torso. Feel! Be! If you’re compelled to do so — and, after reading this, who wouldn’t be? — fling your once-beloved car keys into the Frog Pond, and smile beatifically at the sacrifice you’ve made for the good of the world. (Aren’t the simple pleasures just divine?)

  •   REVIEW: MTV'S ''SKINS''  |  January 26, 2011
MTV has rated its new Skins TV-MA LDS - which in plain English means teenagers smoking weed, popping pills, fucking each other, and having emotional breakdowns in a scripted show that MTV would like us to think is designed to be viewed by adults.
