On one of his first days in Austin, Freeland traded a sketch for a Lone Star (according to Freeland, Texans don’t drink anything else)Leia and Albert, a couple who the abstract artist says saved his life when they bought this painting from him on his third day in Austin. The piece was done on some dry wall found at a construction site.
