VIDEO: The trailer for Adventureland

March
A new administration has been in office for a couple of months now, and chances are they're going to need some help. How about the WATCHMEN (March 6), the threadbare bunch of superheroes stranded in an alternate 1985 universe? Zack Snyder adapts the DC graphic novel with stars Malin Akerman, Billy Crudup, and Matthew Goode.

And there sure seems to be a lot of kids with paranormal powers around ready to lend a hand. Like those in Andy Fickman's RACE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN (March 13), who, like the Push people, are also sought by some mystery organization. Carla Gugino and Dwayne Johnson are in it.

But maybe the best policy is just a romantic declaration. Maybe not so much in John Hamburg's I LOVE YOU, MAN (March 20), a comedy starring Paul Rudd and Jon Favreau in which a guy about to wed searches for perfect best man. But it seems to work out for the nerdy hero of Chris Columbus's I LOVE YOU BETH COOPER (March 27), who declares his love for the title babe in his high school valedictory speech and ends up spending the night with her. Hayden Panettiere and Samm Levine star.

But maybe the best advice is to take things as a big thrill ride, like the college grad in Greg Mottola's ADVENTURELAND (March 27), who learns everything he needs to know about life when he takes a job in an amusement park.

Editor's Note: In a previous version of this article, the number of brothers in the movie Defiance was incorrectly stated to be three. The correction has been made above.

No director pulls off the bait-and-switch as craftily as Jason Reitman. He gets you thinking that you're watching a hip, caustic comedy subverting the status quo, but by the end, he's vindicated all the platitudes he seemed to scorn.

John F. Kennedy wasn't the only political leader murdered in 1963. On May 22 of that year, Gregoris Lambrakis, a left-leaning, pacifist member of the Greek parliament and an aspiring presidential candidate seeking to replace the reigning right-wing government, was assaulted after a peace rally in Thessaloniki. He died five days later.

When the once-æthereal muse of the late Derek Jarman wiped sweat from her armpits in Michael Clayton , a new persona was born.

In lieu of Steve Carell’s hopelessly inept and earnest manager, we have his creepier duplicate, Glenn. Instead of the boorish brown-noser played by Rainn Wilson, there’s the more obnoxious Rick.
