Though the grudge between Gang Starr and Gang Starr Posse is somewhat squashed when the latter abandons the moniker around 1989, Guru disses Mike Dee one last time on the underground classic “Take It Personal” – the first single off the landmark 1992 Gang Starr album Daily Operation. The song's opening lines, “I never thought that you would crab me / undermine me / and backstab me,” are widely believed to be directed at the former bandmate.
