B-MORE GUTTER MUSIC: Club music that's not afraid of the street

On this companion EP to the B-More Gutta Music mixtape, DJs Low Budget (of Hollertronix fame) and Aaron Lacrate (of Milkcrate) expand their assault on the Baltimore club sound pioneered by Scottie B and others. It begins with a fight track, “Blow,” that highlights the MC prowess of Spank Rock and Amanda Blank; Lacrate gets some production help from Baltimore’s finest with Scottie B and the up-and-coming Debonair Samir lending a hand. The highlight, and an indication of just how far this duo are willing to go for kicks and grooves, is an amusing B-more remake of the Curb Your Enthusiasm theme titled “Crazy Eye Killa.” The B-more æsthetic is all about making tracks you can either fight or fuck to, and Low Budget and Lacrate stick that formula throughout Gutta Music. It’s club music that isn’t the least bit afraid of the street.
