As should DUSTIN SAUCIER's first in a "set of EPs" to follow up this year's debut solo effort I Wrote a Letter, called Paper and recorded again with Jon York, plus Dominic Grosso on bass, Nick Simpson on keys, and Geoff Williams on drums. And the jocular-pop SEA CAPTAINS' The Clear Album, their sophomore release, recorded at drummer Tom Ash's studio and to be mastered by Pat Keane. Even MAX GARCIA CONOVER's first full-length effort, after a couple of strong EPs. The singer-songwriter has been working with Pete Morse at Busted Barn and he'll be releasing Burrow through Clip Records likely right as the month turns to March.
Just before spring rolls around, ENDLESS INTERSTATE, which recorded at Tony Gatti's studio like the John Clavette Band, debuts the full-length Roadsigns, available March 12, with a gig at the Big Easy on March 23. Look for a free single on New Year's Day, "Miles," which features Ryan Zoidis (Rustic Overtones, Lettuce) on sax.
There will also likely be a new SUNSET HEARTS EP to satisfy your need for keyboard-driven dance-pop, and a heavy offering from HESSIAN, who'll release Bachelor of Black Arts as we move into April.
Don't be surprised, either, if something comes out of new studio sessions from EMILIA DAHLIN and Holy Boys Danger Club frontman MIEK RODRIGUE before Memorial Day hits. The former is heading into record with longtime bandmate Seth Kearns at his Tidal Sound Studios, and will bring bassist Adam Frederick and guitarist Max Cantlin with her; the latter is close to seven songs in the can for his first solo release.
And you know how bands like to hunker down and record in the winter. No doubt this coming summer will make this winter's flood look like a trickle.
