HERE WE JUST DREAM (herewejustdream.bandcamp.com): This South Coast crew released a self-titled EP last year (look up "Birds Fly Information"). Prog-rock, jazz, and fusion all are mentioned in the HWJD bio (plus "4/5ths of us love classical music"). A recent band post stated that the new material will feature plenty of glockenspiel. For those about to glock, we salute you Here We Just Dream.

THE BITCHIN' AARDVARKS (reverbnation.com/thebitchinaardvarks): North Scituate, stand up! This year 'BRU allowed listeners to vote in a twelfth "wild card" semifinalist via online. Well, the Bitchin' Aardvarks must have a pretty bitchin' fanbase because the punk-fueled trio beat out 19 other acts, an impressive feat considering the wealth of talent, which included the Can't Nots and the McGunks. Fun cuts like "My Friends" and "Understatement" (from the forthcoming, 20-song album Lottery Winner) could get the room all lathered up.

KID MOUNTAIN (kidmountain.bandcamp.com): "Radio-friendly shoegaze-pop" was how I referred to Kid Mountain during last year's Rock Hunt semifinals, and the full-length debut that followed (titled Happies) boasts the spacey alt-FM-ready gems "No Place" and "Kinda Strange." After giving the album a few spins, I am laying my loot on Kid Mountain here.
