While the album title is meant to reference "a mythical people supposed to have lived in a land of perpetual sunshine and abundance," Tonelli pointed out that "the album takes this concept and applies it ironically to modern-day hopes and aspirations of modern America."

Expect to hear the majority of Hyperborean along with some Quiet Geist fan favorites this weekend. And I had to ask Tonelli about a reprisal of the band's ramped-up rendition of "Take Me Home Tonight," which would probably have Andrew W.K. foaming at the mouth.

"Unfortunately we have laid the Eddie Money cover to rest, but we'll have a couple of tricks up our sleeve."
