Plenty of pop!

“He did a great job of making our sound not overly saccharine, and helped us live up to the ‘Huge’ billing of our name,” he said. “Also, the dog at the studio is so fucking cute, and being there gives us a good excuse to get Twin’s Pizza.”

There will be plenty of synth-pop action on the bill at Fête this week when Huge Face teams up with Vermont’s DJ Disco Phantom and Baltimore-based trio Future Islands. The sextet will also play at AS220 on December 13, but if you happen to be near the Midway Cafe in Jamaica Plain, MA this Saturday (the 2nd), be sure to stop by and catch them perform as “Nirvana x2” as part of a Halloween party.

“It should be a blast,” said Nathan. “The funniest part will be the bass breakdown in ‘Lithium,’ where the stupidity of the whole thing becomes really apparent, along with the two blonde wigs.”

HUGE FACE + FUTURE ISLANDS + DJ DISCO PHANTOM | Wednesday, November 6 @ 9 pm | Fete Lounge, 103 Dike St, Providence | $10/$12 day of show |  401.383.1112 |
