Garage-rockers the PRIME MOVERS fête a new CD at the Middle East downstairs with the Lyres and the Dogmatics on January 20, and they help welcome the latest from the DOWNBEAT 5 at T.T. the Bear’s Place on February 3. WILLARD GRANT CONSPIRACY will drop their latest, Let It Roll (Reincarnate Music), in late February. PIEBALD’s new album, Accidental Gentlemen (Side One Dummy), is due January 23. And when we look even farther ahead, we find CHRIS TRAPPER of the PUSH STARS planning a “Best Of” release of Push Stars material in September and a solo CD of original Christmas songs in November. Also in the not too distant future: new albums from WHEAT, who just came out with a new EP on Empyrean, and long-time local heroes the ever-enigmatic BUFFALO TOM, who are now in the studio.
