When Trent Reznor made the new Nine Inch Nails album Ghosts I-IV available as a download earlier this month, all the hype was about the method of its release. But among the players who helped out on the disc (their number including Adrian Belew and Alan Moulder) was one familiar name from Boston: DRESDEN DOLLS drummer BRIAN VIGLIONE. . . . Boston hardcore-punk band the UNSEEN are currently on the road supporting their sixth CD, Internal Salvation; they’ll close the two-month tour back home, at the Middle East downstairs May 13. . . . The Jorge Hernández Cultural Center in the South End has scheduled a music-and-dance celebration of Afro-Brazilian culture called AXE (pronounced “A-shay,” meaning “the life force’’) for April 11. More than half of the 22-plus performers hail from the Boston area; they include Deraldo Ferreira’s CAPOEIRA ANGOLA and AFROBRAZIL, who’re led by percussionist Marcus Santos. . . . Local tween-pop queens GIRL AUTHORITY keep pumping their Road Trip CD with an April 26 gig at the Orpheum in Foxborough and a May 9 show called “Girl Authority Goes Broadway” at Arlington’s Regent Theatre.
