Even if Uncle Monk aren’t truly punk (their name is an esoteric two-fold shout-out to despairing Expressionist painter Edvard Munch and notoriously eccentric jazz composer/pianist Thelonious Monk), they’re of the same lineage. Almost like a cousin, or maybe an uncle. Uncle Punk?
