Speaking of Lurie and "The Shop of Wild Dreams": an album of that title (also on Zipa!) is the latest from the Jessica Lurie Ensemble, an impressive mix of folk pop and jazz covering "Dreams" and some of the other tunes from the Tiptons album. Like the Tiptons, Lurie moves from one authoritative arrangement to the next, one dance after another, without ever missing a step.
