And the re-release? Prstyowsky says that Nonesuch gave them the opportunity make some changes — cut a track, add a track, edit things they were tired of hearing — but that these ended up being subtle. "It's its own chapter, so nothing else really fit. We ended up just moving one track."
Over the long, packed-solid road trip of the coming months, the Low Anthem's perspective is bound to change some more. But by then they won't be looking back. They've got more than 20 new songs ready to go, and a new bout of recording is just around the bend. "We just need to figure out what the new songs are saying," Prystowsky says. "Where the story is, that kind of thing. You can see it, like we're pregnant. So don't worry, a new one is on the way."
