From the sockpuppet journal of Ole Prospector Zeke: Ayuh, she 'minds me a bit o' home, this heuh Raleigh. Home and my sweet little canary, my wee lil' Madame, God rest her birdy soul. The black lung took her in the night, she did, just as she took my Dear Ma and my Sweet Penelope, too. She's a cold mistress, she is, with a kiss as dark and delicious as a swig o’ bourbon on a wet summer's eve, ayuh. Bah! But I gets all wispy, I s'pose it's just my way . . . Yuh see this here Raleigh North Carolinah, she's a'right enough by me, built to last, as my dear gaffer woulda told it. I'd wager there might even be one or two caves for an old spelunker to peer into if'n I could wrassle myself from this sidewindin' circus sideshow I find myself runnin' with. They're a'right enough, though. Good boys at the end of the day, they are these grampaface wizard monkey what have ums. But I'd give a nickel, I would, just to dash away for a moment or two and peer about a bit. Mayhap I'd find my sweet Madame down there, chirp-chirping-chirping her olde sweet song . . .
