And it couldn't have happened to nicer people. P&J have known LeRoy since the '70s. He has basically spent his entire life spreading joy with his music and performances, regularly playing in schools for the kids in the Newport area and in clubs with ace pianist Jake Kahn. LeRoy was also a member of Channel One with Greg Abate and the late, great Paul Murphy.

P&J can't tell you how pleased we were to find out that Louise White and her family are now set for many generations. Miracles sometimes do happen.

ANOTHER NICE STORY FROM ROUND THE CORNER

P&J were pleased to have attended a happy little community fundraising event last Friday at Round the Corner, a neighborhood bar and gathering spot in Fox Point on the corner of Wickenden and Governor streets. It was a potluck happening with all the regulars bringing food and raffling off prizes. The proceeds went to the unified basketball team at Hope High School.

A "unified" team is one that includes special needs students and mainstream students. A big thanks to John and Julia Rollins, who tipped us off to this wonderful event.
