ANOTHER MUSIC TIP

This Friday at Nick-a-Nee's, the official bar and hangout for the Providence Phoenix, Biscuit City, featuring the fabulous Paula Clare Ciminero, will be playing. The band has Casa Diablo's stamp of approval.

NICOLE

Along with so many others in our state, P&J's hearts go out to the family of Nicole Cianci, who passed away last week. She was far too young, too bright, and too full of life for this to happen. Many of her friends commented to us what a wonderful person she was. May her spirit live on in the lives of those she touched.

Send chutzpah and Pulitzer-grade tips to p&j@phx.com.

Though he spent a stint as executive director of the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation under Governor Lincoln "Missing Linc" Almond, Marcel Valois — the newly named head ramrod of the beleaguered EDC — is hardly a household name in The Biggest Little. (Unless, of course, you live in a household with a lot of people named Marcel or Valois.)
