Picking the right targets

Focusing on Sandy Hook isn't bad, though, if we use it as a chance to get that much-needed perspective.

Sadly, while the left and the right may come together to shed tears for those dead grade-schoolers, I don't see them doing much to come together on gun issues. As long as one side calls for only more regulation and the other side only calls for proliferation, nothing will change.

Except that we'll have more shootings, and one day more and worse mass killings to knock Virginia Tech and Newtown from the top of the list.
