But remember: the new, improved weei.com is less than a year old. Note, too, that back in August, the Globe hired then-Herald sports columnist Tony Massarotti as “the face and voice of boston.com sports” — a move that looked both like a response to weei.com’s recent changes and a grudging validation of weei.com’s wisdom. Weei.com isn’t New England’s go-to online source for sports news yet. But that doesn’t mean it won’t happen.
