Yes, this is a big deal and just one of the reasons why, despite expensive "P's" made in Nashville, Pawtucket has as much a claim to being Vo Dilun's "Creative Community" as the capital city.
By the way, there was an interesting article on cities attempting to "re-brand" themselves (with Providence being one of the linchpins of the piece) in the May 7 Wall Street Journal. Much to his amusement (we assume), Pawtucket economic development/cultural affairs ramrod, Herb Weiss was asked about the fact that Providence's "Creative Capital" re-branding seemed suspiciously close to Pawtucket's self-proclaimed monicker "Rhode Island's Creative Community."
"We took no offense," he said.
