TIME TO BE A BIG BOY
It was about time that someone told Providence Police Head Ramrod Dean Esserman that, despite the positive changes he has brought to the force, his punk act hasn't been playing well for some time now. P&J can't tell you how many restaurant waitstaff people, store cashiers, and other folks in service economy jobs have given us an earful about the rude and arrogant behavior of the Chief.
Unfortunately, Deanie Boy's shortcomings were brought to light by the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #3 with its recent vote of "no confidence." It is especially unfortunate that it materialized in the wake of the firefighter union imbroglio during the US Conference of Mayors.
In general, we think he's been doing a pretty good job. He just needs to grow up and get control of his temper.
