FAVORITE: ANDREW KENNEALLY
REPRESENTING East Boston
AGE 34
THEME SONG "Campaign in the Membrane"
IN HIS WORDS "I offer a new generation of leadership with the knowledge, experience, and vision to get Boston moving again."
IN OUR WORDS Having worked for at-large councilors Maura Hennigan and Michael Flaherty, there's no doubt that West Roxbury native Andrew Kenneally has the most relevant job experience. He's also got the big man on his side (and we're not talking about Menino): last year Kenneally beat a brain tumor, and as such was motivated to step up as a candidate. Whether constituents want an insider — and one who is endorsed by the reprehensible Boston Police Superior Officers Union, no less — remains to be seen.
